What we collect
- When you contact us by form, phone, email or WhatsApp: your name, contact details, address or postcode, and details of the work you are interested in.
- When you use the website: basic technical information such as pages visited, device type and approximate location, collected through cookies (see below).
How we use it
We use your details to reply to your enquiry, arrange surveys, prepare quotes and carry out work you ask us to do. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in running and improving our business. We do not sell your details.
Who we share it with
Only the services we need to run the business, such as our website host, email provider and analytics provider, and only as needed to provide those services. We may also share information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not go ahead are kept for up to 2 years. Customer records are kept for up to 6 years after the work is finished, for warranty, guarantee and accounting purposes.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to see which pages help people and improve the site. Analytics cookies are only set if you click “Accept” on our cookie banner. If you click “Reject”, analytics does not load.
We also use the Meta (Facebook) pixel to measure how our Facebook advertising performs. It only loads if you click “Accept”.
Our contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to protect against spam. It runs on the contact page for security and is covered by Google’s own privacy policy.
You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer of every page.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how we use it. Email enquiries@auroraglazing.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
